Requirements and Deadline for Filing for Candidacy

The next directors election will be held on May 6, 2028. The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot is January 19, 2028. The last day to file an application for a place on the ballot is February 18, 2028. Please see the Texas Secretary of State website for additional election deadlines.

Please see Section 54.102, Texas Water Code, and 141.001, Texas Election Code, for the eligibility requirements to serve as a director. Candidate filing materials can be found on the Texas Secretary of State and the Texas Ethics Commission websites.
